How to Sync Files Across Devices with OneDrive
OneDrive keeps your files in sync across all your devices. Edit a document on your laptop and it's instantly available on your phone.
Overview
OneDrive is built into Windows and available on Mac, iOS, and Android. You get 5GB free with a Microsoft account, or 1TB with Microsoft 365.
Step 1: Set Up OneDrive

- OneDrive is pre-installed on Windows 10/11
- Click the cloud icon in the system tray
- Sign in with your Microsoft account
- Choose folders to sync or use default settings
- Files appear in File Explorer under OneDrive

- Right-click OneDrive tray icon → Settings → check for errors
